His son Toguro was killed by his daughter's mate during the war. It is inconceivable that Kisame does not have deep feelings on the matter, but he has been unwilling to divulge his thoughts on the events.

As a Nature dragon by birth, Kisame is distinctly uncomfortable with life in Plague. It appears as though the young Ridgeback has found some solace of late, however, with the recruitment of a fellow Nature dragon by the name of Chibitori.
As time has gone on, Kisame has become increasingly comfortable in his new homeland. He was forced to flee his Clan in Nature territory for reasons he has declined to explain to his Plague allies, but the well-mannered Ridgeback seems unlikely to have caused all that much trouble in his former home. He and Chibitori now have three children, two of which have remained with Clan Askani.
