Harkness

As a former Lord of Battle, Harkness feels obligated to avoid taking sides in matters of faith. As an imperial who is beginning to face the end of his breeding age with no mate to be seen, his mind is occupied by other matters.

Lord Harkness is the second inductee to Clan Askani. Like Jashin, he was born under Shadow. He doesn't have a formal mate as of yet, but he's about Jashin's age, so some of the older clansdragons are predicting something between them. Of course, the young imperial is quite charming; it seems quite possible he'll have his pick of the females when he decides to settle down.

As head of one of the major hunting parties, primarily supervising Lee and the Ghostheart princess Troi, it doesn't look like he'll be settling down any time soon. Lady Jashin, rather than involving herself with the imperial, seems set upon taking the young fey Hemotenshi of clan Ghostheart as a mate.

While his extended work as a strategist and hunting-leader granted Harkness the title of Lord of Battle, the Imperial has become less active in the field as of late. During the 2014 Riot of Rot, the so-called Elder of the Hunt formally passed down his title of Lordship tone of his own apprentices, Lee.
