“I’ve never needed much, including a clan.”

From a young age, Wendigo distanced himself from the others of his nest. He paid no mind to his siblings, and he even very rarely interacted with his parents. He didn’t care for companionship or familial bonds. He only ever sought to take care of himself. Others picked up on this social que very quickly and stayed out of his way. No one bothered to try to talk with Wendigo or try to seek a friendship. A little after he became an adult, Wendigo saw no point in staying in one place, and left without saying a word.
He travelled across the Southern Icefield, utterly alone and quite at peace with himself. He met others like himself along the way and simply gave them a nod as to him acknowledging their presence as they would do to him. He soon found himself in the Windswept Plateau then Scarred Wasteland and he even dared to step into the Ashfall Waste. He became known as one of the Wandering Dragons, those who did not have a lair to call home. He didn’t care about the name, for his never really cared for or about anything. Wendigo would get asked how he could be happy, just going anywhere without any real destination in mind.
“I am not one for clanship. I prefer the quiet that what you call being lonesome,” would be his answer.

One night, when he was resting under a cliff overhang, a spiral dragon appeared before him. The imperial warned the spiral to leave him alone, but all he got in return was a cackle of a laughter. Wendigo warned this dragon once more to leave, but again, all the spiral did was laugh.
“Let us play a game!” the spiral said as he moved and twisted about.
“I have no use for your games,” Wendigo gave a menacing growl.
“Picture a place in your head, any place!” the spiral continued on.
“You are testing my patience,” Wendigo warned.
“Wrong answer!” the spiral snapped his claws and Wendigo literally went up in smoke. Where he appeared next was in a tree. Wendigo struggled to free himself from the branches, but instead full to the ground with a loud thud. With an injured wing, he truly was in danger should an unfriendly dragon come along. As Wendigo pondered what to do about his situation, he heard a rustling to his left. A dragon came plodding out of the brush, another imperial.

“You seem to be injured,” the other imperial said.
“A strange spiral sent me into a tree,” Wendigo explained.
“Did he wish to play a game with you?” the imperial asked.
“Yes.” was all Wendigo felt was needed.
“I will apologize on his behalf. Harlequin is known for his mischief. I asure you he didn’t mean to harm you.” the Imperial bowed his head. “As a further apology, I wish to invite you to where my clan lies. We have an excellent healer who could help with your wing.”
“Do not expect me to stay.” Wendigo gave a small warning.
“CrestHaven is for all, travellers and residents alike,” the imperial stepped aside to show Wendigo the way.

While Wendigo had every intention to leave after his wing made a full recovery, a certain Mirror wouldn’t leave him alone. Raimi had taken a liking to Wendigo. And what started out as a very much forced friendship turned into something of a more romantic nature. Now, Wendigo is very protective over his mate and dares anyone to cross her.
