Carissima is mate to Amadeus. Despite her out-of-clan origins, she is dedicated to her clan and does everything she can to help out. She mostly spends her time fighting alongside Turquoise and Basalt in the Coliseum. Her wits and sharp claws make her a skilled and useful asset to the clan's Coliseum team.

HISTORY

Carissima was born in the Lightning flight. She naturally had what we'll call a "spark" inside of her from the beginning - a will or desire to do things. Her destiny lay outside of her birth lair. When Amadeus decided it was finally time to find a mate, he couldn't help but fall in love with her charm and spirit. She tends to be a bit smug, a trait she inherited from her mother, especially towards Mariya. They say, after all, that you often end up disliking your own quirks in others. This is clearly shown in Carissima and Mariya - both are witty and just a touch cocky, which leads to verbal battles infused with sarcasm and cutting remarks.
Carissima has a deep respect for Turquoise and how she started her clan from complete scratch. She also has an admiration for Mira and her success, despite her unsteady start.
Carissima loves Amadeus for his sense of humor that almost no one else appreciates and his logic-based opinions. They truly appreciate each other for who they are, even if they don't express it in words.

Carissima has a growing respect for Ebony, one of the newest dragons in the lair. At first, she was wary and suspicious of her, like her clanmates were. But one day, she was in the Coliseum with Basalt and Turquoise, just fighting as usual. The sun of the Sandswept Delta burned harshly above, causing sweat to constantly trickle down her forehead and a fuzzy exhaustion to numb her brain. As she turned to slash at an enemy, she felt claws sink into her neck. Stunned, she whirled around, expecting to see one of her opponents. Instead, she only caught a glimpse of her attacker as they nimbly leaped over her, out of her sight. A millisecond passed before the dragon ripped thorn-sharp claws across her wing. She turned again. Whoosh! Too slow. The shadowy figure swiftly sprang above her, and before she could dart out of the way, it landed heavily on her back, knocking the breath out of her. She screeched for help, already knowing that her teammates were busy battling other enemies. A wave of hopelessness washed over her like a gust of wind, leaving her weak. Are they trying to kill me? Her question was answered with a snap of teeth at her throat. As she thought it was over, a loud, ferocious cry made her start. She caught a glimpse of another dark dragon tear her adversary away from her. With a crack, the new dragon broke its prey's neck in its jaws. The body fell limply to the golden sand.
Carissima flopped down on the warm ground, feeling the sting of her wounds. She caught a glimpse of her savior's face, a narrow snout with bright yellow eyes, before she had to close her own eyes to soothe the pain in her head.

When she regained consciousness, she learned that Ebony had been her mysterious rescuer. After thanking her for saving her life, she slept more, determined to recover soon. To this day, she still doesn't know who the dragon that ambushed her is, but she trains very hard to ensure that if they ever strike at her again, she'll be ready.
