Here again, Cepheid finds herself, before the graves of the fallen.
It was not until Ata and Vergil's uprising that they began to keep a graveyard, far below the Crescendo. And though she was but a wee thing at the height of their rule, she still remembers their faces so well. So clear, so, so...
So beautiful they were. Like parents of the whole clan. Ata was chipper, understanding. Vergil, cool-headed and rational. They were a duo like no other. And they raised Cepheid and her brother Magellan with those same principles in mind... And how wonderful the both of them turned out.
Cepheid breathes out slow, then raises a paw to touch the grave marker of her dearly beloved parents.
"Good evening, Miss Ata and Mister Vergil," she starts, her voice crumbly yet strong. "It has been a while, hasn't it? I've been well, as has the clan. You'd be proud to see what has become of it."
She turns her head away, looking up toward the twisting Crescendo in the far distance. "Vrindi is taking to her duties well. She's... well, we're all very proud of her. You raised a wonderful daughter..."
"... But we can all still feel your absence. You shouldn't have had to go. I'm... sorry."

THE PROGENITOR
The first matriarch of the original Clan of the Zaffre Tempest. She is well-known among many Wind clans as a thief with an overflowing well of love for hatchlings. Alongside her mate Kyros, she held nightly heists to scour the lands and snatch hatchlings to bring back and raise as her own. A branded amnesiac wilted by sickness and age, she lost sight of her goals and was eventually dethroned by Ata and Vergil for neglecting the family she fostered. Though she was stripped of her power, Scryer slipped into the shadows, only to be claimed by the occult for her fantastic powers, and her fractured mind only makes her more keen to put them to good use.
