He's certainly dedicated to his cause, I can tell that much. The forest is not something to be taken for granted, after all. Truth be told, I admire his conviction more than anything else. It must be hard to take on such a task - though I wouldn't worry too much. Not with his lovely mate by his side." "That armor... If I didn't know any better I'd say that the plates on his scales were forged from the Behemoth from the Viridian Labyrinth. I remember reading somewhere that, when combined with precious metals, that the bark of the Behemoth tree can make for excellent armor. Could stand about almost any natural disaster, as far as I know. It makes him look like a force to be reckoned with. And I'm sure that he is, even without the armor. I wouldn't want to come across him on a bad day..." - Michelangelo Past Born to two, wise Wildclaws, Nemus hails from the lush forests of the Viridian Labyrinth. He was taught of the importance of preserving nature from a young age, and he followed his parents' footsteps in conserving the forest around them. The Labyrinth was paradise for Nemus, as he loved how everything thrived around him - but he also knew that just past the forest there was a land almost completely void of this blessing. The Dragonhome. Nemus never liked the name of the Earthshaker's domain. A place so barren, so lifeless... He shuddered at the thought of even stepping foot on such a fruitless land, and he soon came to realize that there were other lands out there that were just as barren and lifeless. The Scarred Wasteland held nothing but rot and infestation, and the Tangled Woods could barely pass as a forest with all the thorny brambles blocking every path! His curiosity with how dragons manage to survive these horrid conditions is what led to his decision to leave home. Perhaps he could find answers, and perhaps help, if he traveled more, but his quest wasn't so easy. As he explored the land, meeting new dragons and learning of their terrain, Nemus came to the conclusion that not everyone had he same ideals he had. He tried to help others care for their own environment, their home, but most of the time he was ignored or even scolded. It appalled him, really. He grew frustrated at others and, for a time, he was lost. He thought that by understanding them he could help, but nothing seemed to be going his way. As he continued his wandering he came upon a dragon, Sylva, who was journeying to the Southern Icefields. Her reason for going was similar to his, but instead of educating others through voice and reason she wanted to show them through practice. Sylva's enthusiasm and positivity somehow encouraged Nemus to pick himself up again. He accompanied Sylva on her journey, hoping to once again take a shot at his goals. Needless to say that the female Wildclaw made more of an impact on him than he originally intended, and he soon found in her a mate for life. Now the two live happily in the Haven, a clan who, despite the cold and harsh environment, welcomed them with warm smiles and open arms. It surprised him how, even out in the coldest region, wildlife still thrived. It gave Nemus much hope for the future, and he knew that if he ever felt lost again he'd have Sylva by his side to help him. Relations Nemus never really seeks out companionship from anyone other than his mate, Sylva. The female Wildclaw was the light of his life, and he sometimes wondered how such a sweet and caring girl could fall for a stoic and intimidating guy like him. He often makes sure to look out for her, especially since she's the more softhearted of the two. They were complete opposites, but he knows he'd never find a more perfect mate than she.
