Karno speaks highly of his life in the Reedcleft Ascent, before being found by Ausha's clan. Apparently, if you believe the skydancer, he was treated like royalty due to his beauty and artistic talents. His parents and siblings all loved him very much and were sad to see him go, but he needed to travel, needed to season his paintings with experience and wisdom that he just couldn't get at home. So he left. When he was found, stranded and without food, Karno was taken in and instead of leaving to continue his lonely travels, he figured that staying with this odd little clan would be much more interesting. He rather enjoys living in the Tangled Woods. The beautiful glow of the flora, the eerie whispers from the lake not to far from the lair, and the fauna's strange ethereal way of moving though the dark fog that permeates everywhere, it's all wonderful and serves as inspiration for his paintings on occasion. His paintings either get hung up around the lair if they have emotional value or sold in the bazaars or marketplace. He hates going by himself though, so he'll either accompany Ferrilata to her stall or hitch a ride with Eirwen and Ribaia when they have performances. Though they mostly don't mind, since the skydancer is rather lively and keeps things interesting. |

While Karno's paintings are exquisite and coveted by many, his poetry is a bit lacking. He genuinely tries to come up with relatable stanzas with deep meanings that resonate with the hearts of others, but they usually end up sounding cheesy and over-used. Thore finds it hilarious until Impa reminds her that's what she sounds like with her terrible pick up lines. Thore's response is usually an exaggerated, offended gasp accompanied by a list of reasons why her pick up lines are nothing like Karno's terrible poetry. The two have somewhat of a rivalry to see who is the smoother talker and get into petty squabbles often. Most of the clan agrees that neither of them are particularly smooth, but they do have their own charming quirks. However, they would never say so to their faces, since neither of them need an ego boost. But it is due to these charming quirks and his outgoing personality that makes Karno popular and one of the more well liked members within the clan. Something of which he is extremely proud of. |

Karno, more often than not, can be found working on a new piece or hanging out with friends. Despite his craft, he doesn't like having a lot of alone time. He's very social and prefers the company of others to deafening silence, even when he's working. It is preferable that he isn't left alone anyways, considering he's a bit of a walking disaster at times and unintentionally gets himself into trouble. Most of the time, he is unaware that he is in trouble until it's too late. Someone usually has to bail him out and his friends have started drawing bamboo shoots in order to decide who should go. Fara usually ends up drawing the short shoot. She complains that it's somehow rigged. Despite their complaining, Karno is glad for his friends' assistance and always thanks them profusely with exaggerated shows of his gratitude. He's ridiculous and overdramatic, but the clan wouldn't have him any other way. |
