INFO As the previous leader of the clan stepped down, with the encouragement of their peacekeeper, young wildclaw Enceladus was left in charge of forming and leading a new clan. How to lead such a group of dragons was beyond him. He was born of the two co-founders of the clan, but he was not raised by them. Enceladus knew little about the inner workings of what Soteris used to be, despite having rejoined two years ago. He spent the majority of his time in the clan with other outcasts— witches, bounty hunters, mages, mercenaries, cultists even an assassin one time. He practiced magic and learned how to incorporate all of the elements and flights he's been a part of. This led his apprentice, Vivicar, to the wildclaw. Taking over Soteris was not a small task, Enceladus was overwhelmed by the sudden responsibility and then an influx of new dragons showing up. It was hard to deny them, and Enceladus realized why his mother struggled for so many years. Being a leader was hard, and alone, no less. He felt sorrow for what Dhishne had to go through. Not long after taking the position of patriarch, the wildclaw met a rigid tundra by the name of Glitch. Past her rough exterior was someone Enceladus grew to love deeply, and the two of them got close rather quick. The idea of moving flights was tossed around throughout Soteris, and eventually he and Glitch decided it was time to make a decision. "We're moving to the Sunbeam Ruins." It was an unexpected announcement, and murmurs filled the common areas for a few days until everyone processed and accepted it. The clan was still tense, after what happened that inevitably caused Dhishne to finally step down permanently, so he treaded carefully. Still, Enceladus wouldn't go back on his word. The move was happening. And so it did. After settling in, this patriarch watched members leave and new ones replace them for several weeks. He watched tensions rise and fall, then he noticed there were several smaller factions within Soteris— this wasn't a bad thing, at least, not to him. "You're okay with this? The clan is splitting up again, this isn't what Dhishne wanted!" spoke the well-known dragon, Cynfaen. He was brash and assertive with his words, but never meant harm or aggression. Enceladus knew this. "Of course I am, that isn't even a question. Cynfaen, we can't force dragons into spaces where they aren't comfortable. They're finding their own places, finding community when they need it most. This entire clan almost fell apart. Please, Cyn, just let us move on." |
