If anything goes "zzt," he'll pull it apart to look for what makes the sound. Sometimes he'll even manage to put it back together again. (It also leads to a lot of playing with his food.)

A bellgnat flew into his ear and set up shop ring-ring-ring-ring-ringing, which is ignorable most of the time but utterly maddening in silence. Wind drowns it out. When he's where wind isn't, his boots or projects do with a nice soothing hum.

Designed the pipe system and pumps (with Hodge's help with research) to draw water for washing-off stations just outside explosion range of the cauldron platform, at the I-was-just-rolling-in-salt-or-sand-for-fun entrance from the beach, and at Gremlin's favorite tunnels other useful places.
Nowadays he spends most of his project time building or repairing mechas for various requests around the lair. They're cute, make good pets and workers, pose interesting technical challenges, and really cute. (He named his Small Low-Flying Lightning Lizard.)
