Unworthy.

Okane's deceit was never paid any heed; she kept her rank and thrived within the clan. golems and constructs were no longer needed. Hexes, enchantment and sermons instead surged in popularity. She wiped the minds of captured informants, plagued the supplies of rival clans with a vicious curse. Her mysticism was never doubted; they never noticed their prisoner's head injuries, nor did they notice her slipping a vial of Serthiss poison into their enemy's foodstocks. She was a sham-- though a skilled conversationalist and liar. Her lingering loyalty to the clan prevents her from poisoning the foodbanks she was sent to protect. Okane thrives on the glory and praise she earns for her 'work'.

Scrawny, emaciated and all but forlorn, this skydancer's since abandoned her clan job in favour of her questionable profession; voodoo. Using the ample supply of dying and dead corpses from the jails as fuel for her necromancy, she's alleged to have risen many a minor construct to work for the clan's benefit-- all to gain Ursa's approval; all to join the clan. However, the creatures she's apparently 'raised' aren't born by otherworldly spells; they'e mere shattered serpents-- reptiles unceremoniously plucked from the Abiding Boneyard without a second thought. Until the clan's growth spreads to these distant reaches, Okane's deceit remains entirely unknown amongst her temporary clanmates.

""Unworthy."" Okane grimaces; the word cuts through her like a knife. The skydancer babbles unintelligibly, motioning towards the next hatchling upon the sacrificial altar with hurried, sweeping gestures. If that one was denounced, surely the other three are sa- ""Unworthy."" She pauses. Her claw trembles, hanging mid-air-- hovering over the remainder of her clutch. With a snarl, she snaps upright, staring ruefully towards Elysia and her so-called 'eyes'; those wretched, filthy dogs. Her expression seethes with hatred as she speaks. ""My-... My friend,"" the skydancer spits, practically gagging upon the word. ""My children are as worthy as any-” ""Unworthy."" Elysia interrupts Okane without remorse, without hesitation. The three-eyed spiral stares at the young dragons; her judgement is merciless. Her coils drip from the sapling holding her, pooling her body at her hounds’ feet. They slaver, and drool, only held back by the chains Elysia grips. ""Unworthy."" Elysia smiles, almost apologetically, towards Okane. The emptiness of her words is masked by her lyrical, charismatic manner of speech. ""I'm afraid I have no choice, my sweet. They are to be exalted, but not by our great Mother."" She stoops low, her lithe, crooked body prostrating herself under the shadow of the sapling. ""There's no greater honour than fighting for our mother, but I’m afraid your children do not share that right."" Glancing at Okane, Elysia pulls her body up and dusts off her knees, the chains crinkling. A warning. “You should have known of this before you decided to take part in deceitful magicks to spawn your little demons.” Okane’s obsidian eyes dart left and right before finally settling upon the four hatchlings. They were too young to understand the ramifications of Elysia’s judgement. She'd seen the sacrifices first-hand-- but she'd never have thought such cruelty would reach her own family. To be sent to the Glademother would be one thing, but to be sent to another god… Elysia’s blood red eyes hints at the goddess she serves, a cruel mistress. There's a lingering, pensive silence. Then, she darts forwards, flaring her feathers, her wings, screeching incoherently as she rushes her hatchlings. The vicious points of her claws and beak glint within the light of the setting sun. They're caught off-guard; they scarper, fleeing for their lives. Some run, some fly, clutching slashes their own mother gave them. Elysia screams, watching the hatchlings flee. Baying and keening, the hounds break free of their chains and begin their deadly chase. Okane’s cackles echo far and wide before they're silenced by Elysia's own claws.
