Biography
Notes:
-Adult, decidedly not wise beyond his years
-Boastful adventurer/collector "extraordinaire"
-Carries his finds in an enchanted re-sizable crate and keeps his collected items suspended in ice pillars in his private cave.
-His self-esteem is affected by how consistently he adds to his collection
-Loves to show off his latest finds to everyone while dramatically retelling how he acquired them, to the eye-rolls (or genuine awe) of many. For the underground portion of the clan, evening dinner is inextricably associated with his daily tale of harrowing exploits, often involving him leaping onto tables and miming fight scenes. (You know you're late to dinner if you hear muffled shouting and plates clattering)
-Very magically talented and quick-witted in tough situations, but acts like a doofus most of the time
-Loves finding creative, cool-looking ways to attack with ice (his go-to special move is ICE SPIKES FROM THE FLOOR HAHA, used to redirect enemies or force them to take flight)
-Treats fighting monsters more like a friendly game than a death-match. Hates using claws and teeth to fight, and prefers to incapacitate or scare off opponents rather than seriously injuring them; will always perform a daring escape rather than kill a worthy opponent ("worthy opponent" refers to anyone at all)
-When in the field, in lieu of an audience (battle partners) likes to verbally taunt/smugly banter with his opponents, although they often can't talk back as they are monsters. (Actually he does this with an audience too, I can't overstate just how much of a dork he is)
-wip: One day Lilac and Ajacis were snooping and accidentally got trapped in his crate, -shenanigans ensued- and since then the three of them go on regular adventuring expeditions together
Unnecessarily specific and detailed crate notes:
-A chain loops through two holes near the lid of the crate; pulling the chain through causes the crate to grow or shrink, depending on direction. (The chain and holes are not visible from the inside.) The max and min crate size are constricted as the chain itself stays the same. (Too big and it pulls taut, too small and the holes get too narrow for the chain to pass further)
-If an item is inside, the crate can not be reopened until it is the size it was prior to being shut. The interior of the crate does not change size from the perspective of items inside; either the items inside change size with it, or spacial manipulation is at work. Nigel won't give anyone a chance to study this. He also won't tell anyone where he found it.
-Nigel has a pet name for his crate, but it's so secret even I don't know it. Needless to say he would be mortified if anyone found out. He also kisses it goodnight every night.
