-Brash, bossy, insecure, takes everything too seriously
-Really, really, really, really tsundere
-Protective of her sister, Lisianth, but they have grown a bit distant since finding their home
-Only seen with her pearl when she's feeling broody. Most of the time Lis has possession of it, tending to it like she does her own pearl. It's just an unspoken agreement between them... to Aja her pearl represents thinking about her past.
-Admires strong, stoic dragons (not that she's one to openly talk about admiring people)
-Samur's partner, he's really sweet to her and she's comfortable letting her guard down around him
-Pals with Aechmea, they just gossip and complain about everything while Mea works and she has lunch
-Finds Nigel's boasting annoying but hangs out with him anyway because he's cool and fun and confident and she wants to be like him, though if you ask her she'll say he's a weird lame dork/nerd/loser!
-Finds Lilac's know-it-allness really annoying, but secretly loves how she's really smart and determined and reminds her of her sister...
-Ajacis, Lilac and Nigel go on regular adventuring expeditions together, it's the absolute highlight of her week
-Thinks harpies are rad as heck and gets shy talking to them
-Aja's reaction to being accepted by her clanmates basically: "Why are you all so nice?? Stop it!! sTOP liking me!!!! You're being too friendly STOP" *blushes* "nOOo D:<"
Wip lore summary:
Has a grudge against Shadow Flight, due to a traumatic experience being trapped in the Tangled Wood with her sister by an unknown magic user for unknown reasons when they were only hatchlings. They were kept isolated in a maze of magic, forced to fend for themselves and protect each other until somehow escaping into Light territory.
Aja subconsciously uses illusion magic as a defense mechanism; she accidentally made her and Lisianth invisible and undetectable after they escaped the woods, so they were unable to seek help for weeks until a caring, solitary ridgeback discovered them sleeping under a tree in the snow. She gave them food and shelter and informed Aja about her Shadow magic.
Ever bitter Aja has always wanted to move on and forget the past, but is haunted by her own eyes. Lis is deeply fascinated by the mystery of their childhood and seeks the truth, which caused the rift between them. When Lis decided to leave the ridgeback to seek answers, Aja still felt obligated to follow her, citing her duty to protect her sister: "I can't leave her behind." The ridgeback recognized the obvious irony in that statement, which is still lost on Ajacis.
When they first arrived at Roselily as young adults (they were mysteriously drawn to it...), Aja's eyes appeared cyan like the ridgeback's. She was dismayed when she learned that she had used Shadow magic to cover her own eyes, but Samur saw through it right away. He felt a connection to her, both having deep-seated problems regarding their home and origins; he insisted upon being her friend despite her reservations, until she eventually warmed up to him, and then gradually started opening up to others as well.
