Was once the mate of the progenitor Orion, chosen for her inventiveness and exotic beauty in a time when imperials were valuable and big high prices. Her virgin clutch was by him. Hailed from the BRBeeps Clan.




Was passed over by Orion for Fuse.




She was then given to Dairo, son of Logic and Optic, to breed Skydancers, the breed that replaced the prestige of imperials.




Dairo was condescending and enjoyed lording his breed's eclipsing of the imperial fad and in disgust Tourmaline refused to nest with him twice. Under heavy protest, she was paired to Xen.



Xen treated Tourmaline kindly, but saw no pleasant future in forcing her to nest. They brought 2 imperial hatchlings into the world, and Hex determined that that was sufficient and politely convinced Orion to abandon the idea of using Tourmaline to breed new imperials as prices were already in sharp decline. Her spirit would break if she was forced into nesting to a third male.

Tourmaline was sold soon after, refused all attempts at mating, and came to rest in Imperious Rescue as a last ditch rescue prior to being exalted. Came to the attention of the Storm's Eye Clan for her fallow knowledge of mechanisms. Still very much in her shell and is wary of being approached by males.


Mislikes the idea of taking a mate. Considers coatls to be fickle and clannish.
