lawful_zpshxz3yep5.png Kolin dreams of another life whenever she sleeps. Things have always been this way for as long as they could remember. It is not something they have learned to fully question. But, when Ashvael appeared one day, it was like meeting an old friend. It didn't take long from there for the progenitor and him to become mates. It felt natural. At night she dreams of him falling from the sky with many great beasts; as a dragon she has never seen in this world.

Once a guardian, her charge was her clan. Kolin defended it fiercely and took in children from all around to raise as her own. Over time however she became aware of the dangers of the world and within her awakened a fierce, intangibly familiar protectiveness and worse, very strong territoriality. Nothing could come into her territory, nobody could leave. Kolin's instincts were so strong that she had put the whole clan into lockdown. Kolin's clan grew isolated, cut off from the world.

It was the neighboring clan who managed to make contact, the Mistreach clan, they brought with them the knowledge of breed change scrolls. It took time to get Kolin to trust them enough to let Shaatha in, but ultimately she did. Shortly after Kolin's life as a skydancer began. There was a warning with her change, she could never go back, her instincts were just too strong in her old form. the progenitor accepted this. She may not have the size anymore, but Kolin has all the power and brutality still wrapped in a dainty frame. She dreams of a cave in perfect darkness; of gliding in a form both small and as vast as an ocean's abyss. She wakes to light entering her perfect sanctuary and forgets.

Kolin has children, she less and less has the time to raise them. Her clan has grown, her adopted children have children of their own. Lightweaver receives many into her service, others leave to start life in other clans. Kolin's clan grows and lives side-by-side with their neighbor. She is seen as the leader, the clan matron. Her wings grow restless. She leaves often to hunt and to fight the shade-tainted creatures of Sorneith. She dreams of wandering a world that is not this one. She dreams of fighting and of people who look nothing like anything she's seen awake. She dreams of family that she's never had. Kolin grows more restless. The progenitor wants to find something that can't be found. She wants to find her place.

Leadership tires her these days. Ashvael is her comfort and solace. Her family has grown into more than a family; it is a community now. How and when she found herself with heirs, with politics, and infighting she doesn't know. Her son dreams of being a heir to a kingdom and deja vu nags her. Her family wishes to grow into something larger, wants to change into something else and it nags at her mind that there is something to this. At night she dreams of stars not in this sky, of being apart of the night itself and Kolin wants to fly. 		neutral_zpsyqv9vtx5.png
