The gentle Guardian of a small, cozy section of forest within the Gladeveins, enclosed on all sides by a winding river. The moment she laid eyes on the lush, warm woodland and felt the aura of comfort and safety it exuded, she knew her Search was over. Unusually social for a Guardian, she considers herself the mother figure of all dragons in her forest lair. Although she is typically peaceful, she posesses exceeding physical strength (which she isn't afraid to use to protect her charge when necessary). From a dense thicket near the area's largest waterfall, she and her two advisors watch over the local flora and fauna.

ETYMOLOGY - Named for the Venus Flytrap (Dionaea muscipula). The genus name, Dionaea ("daughter of Dione"), refers to the Greek goddess Aphrodite.
