Clan Leader

The Guardian of Ista Weyr

Adhara awoke to blue light. She hatched alone, washed against the shores of the Tsunami Flats.

After some time wandering, traversing the currents of the sea, she found Aldo. Aldo taught her many things about the flights that roamed the world. He taught her of the Tidelord who ruled the water and of the clans who gathered in his name. He taught her the best places to fish, to hunt, the best ways to slip by the Maren unnoticed, or to draw their attention. But what she learned best from Aldo was the loneliness of life without a clan.

Together, they returned to the Tsunami flats and found a cave. It was large and spacious, far too big for the two of them alone. Before their first eggs hatched, they were joined by other wanderers: Iortican, Lafiris, Arfur, Von and Otta. Little by little, their clan grew.

One night after their first clutch hatched, Aldo slipped away. He left no note, or message, and no one saw him go. Arfur and Von thought he might have taken to wandering again, and still wondered aloud where he might be, even years later. Adhara never wondered.

Unwilling to put more of her clan in harm's way than strictly necessary, Adhara is the rock of the clan's Coliseum team, alongside Von and Bryagh. She helps train those who wish to hone their skills, whether for the benefit of the clan or the deities.

This clan is Adhara's Charge. She is its protector, leader and matriarch. Woe betide any who try to take it from her, though recently she's been absent from many of the council meets. Von and Sapphire have been running things smoothly enough in her absence, and have tried to approach her about her sudden distancing, but she has thus far deftly avoided all their questions.
