Dragonet years
It is said that sometimes, dragonets in the water flight are born with incredible abilities. Abilities that grant the host the ability to see nearly every possible future for anyone they encounter, if they learned how to control it.
Of course, dragonets usually can't control this.
Kreech had always been very intelligent, even as a dragonet, but these visions haunted and plagued him. He would be holed up in his room, wailing and clutching at his head, mumbling half made omens and the names of dragons he'd never met. He would also drag his brother and sister away from whatever they wanted to do that day; one day, Pulpo wanted to go fishing in a nearby reef at the time, and Kreech purposefully tore up Pulpo's fishing bag so he wouldn't even be able to keep what he caught. Another time, Murcie wanted to tinker in her room, and Kreech sat in front of the workdesk and tools, hissing and clawing at anyone who tried to touch the workbench, until Murcie promised she wouldn't use it.
He would always feel terrible later, and would tell Calypso, with a tear-stained face and cracking voice, that he had to do it or they would be in danger.
A few weeks after those last two incidents, Kreech walked into his room, where he came face to face with two Oracles from the Tidelord's service and Calypso. She briefly explained to him, in a way that he could easily pick up through the miasma of multiple realitites, that he was going to be taken to the Tidelord as an apprentice under his oracles.
He actually trained directly under the Tidelord. Which means, he got letters from him every now and then and was mostly instructed by the Tidelord's closest oracles. He got better and better as time went on, he was now able to surpress unwanted visions, and he could select individual strands, much like a seamstress plucking whichever threads she so desired to use.
He eventually became one of the most perceptive oracles in the place; he had never forgotten to keep his third eye wide open, while still controlling what he consciously picks up. He allocated the majority of the "flow", as he called it, to his subconscious, and if he had a curiosity, he would pull a line to the forefront and observe it easily.
Eventually, the day came where he no longer needed training, and he could effortlessly know and see nearly all timelines while having completely unobstructed thought. Before he left though, he was called into the Spiral Keep. He was in there for a whole seven days before he came out, peppered with gleaming purple scales and pulsing with barely contained mana.
Job Description
He doesn't have a real occupation per-se, other than being the local oracle. Dragons come to him all the time, seeking advice or answers on their lives, but Kreech is stubborn about his information, often telling seekers to "think about what they REALLY want," or "How about you try WORKING for your knowledge instead of siting and waiting for it. If he feels that someone really deserves to know what lies in their future, he gives them his knowledge, straight up, no roundabout b*llsh*t prophecies.
Also, due to his remarkable mana reserves and magical prowress, he is often on the battle sidelines, providing damage boosts to ground troops and leading a one-dragon magical barrage on opponents. However, he isn't a killer; he only incapacitates foes, making sure that they pass for dead so they aren't killed in battle.
Bio
He has never told anyone exactly what happened during his temporary stint in the Spiral Keep, but he came back with a faraway look, his smooth blue scales plastered here and there with rough purple scales that exuded pure magical energy. He and his father both research and study it's properties, which Kreech does more obligingly than Sails, often having to sit through scans and scale chipping and whatnot. They haven't done it in a while though- after accidentally touching one of the anomalous scales with a piece of iron and having it explode in their faces, they decided to wait for there to be a larger science crew on board with them.
He's rather impatient and irritable, often sitting through requests and conversations that he already knows the resolutions to with a bored or vaguely irritated look on his face, but it's not like he can just tell them what they decide or what the conversation amounts to, as that may screw with the original timeline, and he takes great care of preserving the timelines.
He cares for fates and datelines as if they were his own children, ironically he doesn't want children or a mate, believing it to be a waste of time, and- while he'd never admit this to anyone- he believes that having a mate would be a hindrance, as he's never actually felt like he needed anyone to share with, they'd probably irritate him just as much as anyone else does.
For the record, another reason for his irritability is due to the strain on him when he participates in "communions", and his frequent headaches and physical pains. The physical pains are caused by mana surplus, which can only be remedied for the moment by a mana leeching spell, which leaves him dull for an hour or so.
However callous he may be, he doesn't tolerate the death of any dragon, innocent or otherwise. He can personally see in his mind's eye, the entire branching timeline of that dragon crumble and die- It's always been a difficult experience for him, which is what contributes to his rather pacifistic nature.
Hobbies
He mostly likes to ruminate and think on topics and philosophies- his "insight" gives him a good viewpoint to really think about the meaning of life, and the nature of desire, ambition, futility,
etc. He and his mother, Calypso, frequently have theory jam-sessions- seeing as how the only dragons he really tolerates are her and the rest of his family- seeing as how she's pretty unpredictable, so there's no reason for him to be too impatient around her.
He also enjoys practicing and studying magic, he finds it's unpredictability and versatility refreshing and actually fun for him. He enjoys making new discoveries in magic too, and writing them down. He isn't much of a teacher though, so forget sitting through a room of dragonets and trying to teach them the intricacies of mana flow theory.

Likes
Being alone, silence, reading, practicing his magic, discovering new spells, going on solitary flying trips, the smell of lavender, grape juice, theorizing and contemplation, writing and publishing his findings so dragons won't come bothering him about it, engaging in pleasant discourse with others on a variety of topics, helping his father make new discoveries, quietly guiding the dragons he loves towards their best possible futures.
Dislikes
Bothersome or solicitous dragons, stubbornness, loud or obnoxious dragons, being woken from introspection, being disturbed from his studies and ruminations, being asked stupid questions, dragons asking him "what their future is", the smell of roses, alcohol, and messy rooms.
Physical Description
Characteristically small, knobbly-boned, with graceful crests; they're much longer and flowier than usual. He has smatterings of bumpy, glossy purple scales here and there that thrum with magical energy. His tail glows a vibrant neon purple in dark areas, and his mana, rather than being blue like those of other water-flight dragons, his is purple.
