Damon is the brother of 6, son to 2, and guardian of 1. He wasn't always cold and distant, or able to speak beyond the veil. Of the whole family that founded the clan, he has the longest title-- the Dragon of Ice and Bargaining and the Defender of Wayward Spirits. Long as it may be, the title is well-deserved.

As a child, he was quite the bundle of energy and positivity for the small clan, befriending many dragons he came across and routinely challenged a cocky gamer or two to a few rounds of Tidal Trouble.

It wasn't until he braved a lone expedition into The Southern Icefield during the Crystalline Gala that he gained an icy coat and an icier heart. He was caught in a blizzard and forced into a hole in the ground, where he froze himself to sleep, despite his thick winter coat. There were magic elemnts at play, digging beyond his coat and boring into the very marrow of his bones to freeze him and make him theirs.

When he awoke a week later and stumbled back to the clan, he was flooded with teary faces and exasperated laughs, sibling jests of "Don't ever do that again!" and "You had us all worried sick!"

He felt nothing.

He wanted to feel happy. Happy to be alive, to be with his family, so just... be, but he couldn't even muster up a smile from deep inside.

It was tough getting the hang of no emotion. He felt raw. Empty. Nothing.

Then, a fluffy black hatchling with misty purple bones and round pink eyes tucked hinself under his wing.

Mikey is what helped his emotions resurface. He now feels anger, sadness, joy, fear. All the emotions he felt before the Icefield.

Now, slowly, his heart is thawing. Growing.
