Biography
The beastclan settlement seems peaceful and inviting as you approach, with the sole exception of the massive, imposing figure perched atop the hill. The sun is shining brightly but the statuesque ridgeback appears perpetually shrouded in gloom. Is she looking at you...? You'll probably be fine if you just avoid eye-contact...
Notes:
-Young adult, though due to her imposing nature she comes across as much older. Lesbian.
-Guard/lookout; the clan hardly seems to attract danger, but she's here to protect all the softballs just in case
-Sits like a gargoyle atop the hill, surveying the ocean, skies and forest for hours on end. Her raised head is taller than most of the beastclan buildings so she can see, and be seen from, quite a distance.
-Was commonly referred to as "the Gargoyle" for a long time before anyone figured out what her name was. Some people still call her that, while others will glare at you disapprovingly. She doesn't seem to mind.
-Incredibly stoic and quiet, but has no problem coming down from her regular spot to be threatening when needed- which is thankfully very rarely. If you see her come down during the daytime something's usually amiss.
-Skilled with many weapons, although no one can recall ever seeing her fight or attack anyone outside of practice or training
-She never intended to train others in fighting, but when Lupine convinced her to start training her it caught on with several clan members. Lupine trains with her almost daily, but the coatl's skills (and fear of violence) have not improved even remotely, as far as anyone can tell. Other clan members have to activelybeg convince Helle to spend a training session with them.
-Most people think she's incredibly intimidating and she's often avoided as a result- with the exception of Lupine, who seems more on edge anytime she's not around Hellebore. She's the only person Helle is likely to initiate a conversation with. (Helle's admirers probably feel ashamed that they haven't earned the same privilege)
-Few know that Hellebore is one of the kindest, most pacifistic people you could ever meet. She would hate herself if she ever accidentally hurt someone and her sole mission in life is to protect others.
-It's almost impossible for her to talk to people, and she'd rather keep to herself than risk making someone feel nervous or uncomfortable.
-On overcast or rainy days Hellebore and Lupine don't train. Instead, they solemnly stand lookout together. And if the sun comes out, Hellebore's wings provide plenty of comforting shade.
