thistle gildedglow is the captain of a crew of pirates in the scorchstream strait. she's the queen mother of pirates, ruling the open seas with a golden grip for over 50 years and considering her crew her family. she's a fearsome sight, a beautiful, scarred and tattooed older woman of many faces; greedy and cutthroat, a mother and a seductress- but above all, a queen.

thistle was hatched on the far eastern edge of the sea of a thousand currents, on the shores of the sunbeam ruins. her birth clan was large and conservative, devoted to the service of the lightweaver. thistle was a troublemaker from birth, never fitting in with her clan. she was only a teen when she left her old life behind. on the waves of the sea, where all's fair in love and war, is where she fits in the best. thistle has had many children (like her son and crew member reese) and even more lovers, like the arkhaean monroe windwood. their fling produced tamarix, whom thistle raised aboard her ship. 		xxx
