Ostensibly in charge of guarding the city from bandits and wild desert animals, most of Stella's time is spent gossiping with Rosemary and hassling Bud. A busy day is one where a brawl at Leo's gets out of hand and she's enlisted to help haul a perpetrator or two to a makeshift drunk tank (usually someone's cellar).

Stella occasionally hires herself out as a guide and guard for passing traders. Although she knows how to fight, and is prepared to on those jobs, she rarely has to. Visible muscle, especially local muscle, is usually all it takes to convince desert bandits to pick on someone else.

Stella and Harlan don't get along. While Stella considers herself a peacekeeper within the clan, Harlan's goal for his 'army' is to protect the clan from outside threats, of which there are approximately none. Why can't he just leave well enough alone? 		olHEvfb.png

In contrast, Stella gets along with Harlan's estranged son pretty well. They don't chance to meet often (she lives in town, he lives out of it), but when they do they spend an hour or two just chatting. It's nice. 		olHEvfb.png
