- he was her special little guy. he feels Guilty about all the siblings she handed off and gives them a wide berth

- uhhh lived in icefield for awhile before moving back to the ruins
- bent over backwards, clawing his way up the ranks in the light navy
- a poor boy from a bluelight boarding house couldn't afford a commission nor schooling
- got his fortune privateering during the war aftermath
- that glut of dragons fleeing their burning regions with everything they owned
- even with the captain and mates taking the lion share of each prize, every dragon came away a king
- he did not drink away his coin, he hoarded it until he could buy himself a commission
- then he, captain of his own sloop, dogging the spice convoys that nearly each surviving flight had coming in and out of the shrieking wilds, became very rich indeed
- this influx of wealth got him attention, and when dragons looked at his past to sneer at it . . . they realized who his sister was
- and everyone got a WHOLE LOT NICER
- after a decade on the sunset sea, he was transferred to the western sunrot navy
- and his parents came trailing in when they found out
- was only in virulent for a few years before he decided that having relations with that one mean cavalry knight that suddenly got really nice for no ulterior reasons was a good idea
