Skyshard is something like a mascot to the rest of the lair. He has a childish demeanor and innate cuteness that makes him instantly likable to even the sternest and most hardened members. He's easy to make happy, finding surprise and delight in everything, in a way that makes others around him happy as well. His energetic cheerfulness is infectious. The sight of him bouncing around the lair, excited over his newest find or latest adventure almost never fails to make the other dragons there smile.

Skyshard prefers to be called Sky, liking his shortened nickname better, and sometimes even refusing to answer to his full name. He adores flying, and like his namesake, he seems to belong in the air more than he does on the ground. He can be almost impossible to spot, with his sky blue colors against the natural blue of the sky, until he banks into a sunbeam to make his bright blue gembond sparkle, or turns an energetic loop through the air. Compared to his grace in the air, he's rather clumsy on the ground. He wants to dash around without looking where he's going, and doesn't always take quite the care he should. However, he's rarely scolded when he breaks something or bumps into someone, since it's so hard to get mad at him.

To the surprise of those who see his orange eyes, Sky actually uses ice magic. Any attempt to ask him how he does it gets an answer ranging from laughter and “I just like it better” to a thrown snowball, depending on how much he happens to like the asker. He seems to delight in making it snow inside, turning an entire room into a small wintery landscape for a few hours, before making it all vanish without a trace. Sometimes he creates elaborate ice sculptures, from swirling freeform designs he makes up as he goes along, to large heroic statues of himself. He has a habit of initiating massive snowball fights, and convincing the usually serious dragons of his lair to engage in playful mock wars behind icy forts.

He's also quite mischievous, with an eye for stirring up mostly harmless trouble. He enjoys playing pranks on the other dragons in the lair. If something goes missing and ends up in an unusual place, or someone gets hit by a snowball out of nowhere, he's usually the culprit. He's not the best at getting away with it though, because he can't resist the urge to hang around and see the result, and his laughter gives him away no matter where he's hidden. But even when he's caught, he's so well-liked that the pranked dragon almost never has the heart to scold him for it, and usually finds themself laughing along with him.
