Born in an allied Clan of Plague-Fang, a powerful, wise Clan that called itself Interstellar, Vunrin was the first clutch of the new Leader and his mate, a beautiful creature out of starlight and dust and old wisdom taken shape in the form of a ridgeback female. Vunrin was taken in with love and raised with much care while the Clan settled itself slowly, still dealing with the aftereffects of moving from one flight to the other, of losing one dear member, the former leader Ophala and the reformation. No one expected Vunrin to step up as his father’s heir, not so shortly after Saranus’ himself had become leader. Yet, despite this Vunrin felt a burden, that he called his duty laying on him, crushing any petty joy he might had. The young boy felt the urge to prove himself worthy, something that was not necessary, as his father, mother and all the others in the Clan tried to tell him over and over again. Despite this never ending reassurance, Vunrin didn't stop, instead of playing like all the other children, he helped everywhere he could and when he couldn't help, he was at the training grounds, watched and copied the warriors.

Time went by and Vunrin grew up, became a handsome young man, the years of training, helping shaped him into form, he was tall and well trained, well groomed, many females and even some males tried to gain his affection, but Vunrin always denied himself the joy of company, he deemed himself still unworthy, for he hadn't done anything to prove himself. His father didn't knew what to do, for Vunrin would listen to every command of his but to no advice, he would work himself to death if he was asked to but never once give in to the temptation of joy. When a witch on the run seeked shelter in the territory of Interstellar, asked desperately for help, Vunrin believed that this was his chance. He didn't hesitate, jumped at the opportunity. Without saying goodbye, Vunrin rushed to help the witch, took the position as her bodyguard gladly, for she was wise and beautiful and it didn't took long for the young male to fell for the older female. She on the other hand had nothing good in mind, started to play with Vunrin’s trust and turned it against him, played with his thoughts.

It didn't take long when the witch had Vunrin entirely in her claws, played with him like he was nothing but a mere toy. She twisted and turned his ideals until they were a perverted copy. Wielding him like a living weapon, the witch asked for dark, sinister things, making him a monster, a murderer, a creature that was feared and hated. And all this time, Vunrin suffered on the inside, felt something was so very wrong but didn't felt strong enough to resist, for he loved her and she had to love him as well, or so he thought. The final drop that caused Vunrins shattered soul to snap came when she asked him to kill an entire clan, a young one, small one with only two warriors and a few children, because they denied her what she saw as her right. Whatever it was, it was not worth the death of several innocent dragons. Vunrin started to refuse, to resist her, which caused her to snap, she started to attack him, furiously and finally showing her real face, dark and twisted and cruel. The disaster happened too fast, Vunrin couldn't hold himself, he lashed out when she hit him, targeted his eyes, hit her out of self-defence. With her so much smaller and fragile than him, she fell and hit her head, broke her neck. Vunrin, horrified and disgusted of himself tried to help her but she was dead the moment her head hit the ground, left him alone and broken with a terrible reputation in a world that only knew him as a bloodthirsty and merciless monster. No one wanted someone like him in their ranks, no clan allowed him to take shelter in their territory.

Alone and desperate, Vunrin wandered through the lands, reached out to every opportunity to redeem himself, desperate for social contact, someone that would talk to him and not run away in fear as soon as he appeared. He found such a chance, when Plague-Fang reached out to him. Known for housing monsters in their ranks, the Plague Clan took him in, but handled him with caution, ready to take him down should the need arise and he became whatever his reputation said. Vunrin was unhappy and still sad with his life, but so very eager to change, to show that he was not what his actions deemed himself to. Until he met her. It was a chance meeting, he accompanied one of Plague-Fangs elite warriors on a contract, simple escording that ended with Plague-Fang gaining a new ally and Vunrin losing his heart to a woman he could never have. For a long time, Vunrin thought he could simply be Amelia’s friend, support her and love her from afar, it would have worked, somehow, had disaster not haunted him once more.

When the grand, powerful lair of Plague-Fang collapsed in an Earthquake, Vunrin was caught under debris, unable to free himself. He had tried to hoard a group of younglings and older dragons, that were unable to escape through flying into the open, into safety when the walls came crashing down, killing most of the children instantly and injuring the older ones severely. Vunrin didn’t knew how long he spent in the darkness, accompanied by the dying and the dead, only the hunger, that gnawing feeling that became stronger and stronger, until he could no longer resist. The first bite was the final push to shatter the last bit of his sanity.

Time became blurry and Vunrin started to slip in and out of the real world, when he finally found a way to free himself, to escape his prison of rock and death and leaving nothing but ruin and the bone of the dead behind, one face became his new focus, the only thing that kept him going. Amelia, she became like an open flame and he like the moth could only chase after her. And he found her, found her, dragged her away into his lair, filled with half eaten corpses and smashed eggs, his delusional mind blinded him to the gruesome truth that was happening, the only reason why the poor Pearlcatcher survived her encounter with the raving mad man Vunrin had become, was her real mate, Sanipkur, coming to her rescue. Vunrin escaped, barely but he did but with the deeds he had done, the pain he had caused on the one he claimed to love, it would be only a matter of time, before someone would find him, haunt him, kill him. But in the end, it all came completely different...
