Percula can often be found with her nose buried in a book in the farthest corner of the clan's library. Her shy nature makes it incredibly hard to start a conversation with her, as she will often answer as quickly and quietly as possible...but if you can gain her trust and pique her interest about a topic? She will gladly share the wealth of knowledge she has probably already learned from those countless hours spent reading.
Heritage: Oracle Keep
Oracle Keep originally got its name in a rather dark way. Long ago, a rather malevolent clan inhabited the area and held an Oracle captive for many years. During this time they used the Oracle to predict the outcomes of wars and grow their strength and numbers. One day, the Oracle gave them news that they were soon to be defeated and their numbers would be decimated in an upcoming siege. The Clan leaders did not heed her warning, and instead assumed she was lying. She did not say who was to attack them, and they did not ask. The day finally came that they were to be assaulted and the clan went about its daily duties as usual. Upon nightfall, blazing meteors rained from the sky destroying the entire citadel, save for the Tower of the Oracle and a few members of the clan that managed to escape. Nobody knows what happened to the Oracle, but it is said that she transcended and became one with the Gods. News travels quick and outcasts and survivors of the malevolent clan's attacks made their way to the broken citadel. Since then, a new clan has been forged in Oracle Keep and they have rebuilt it to be a flourishing and welcoming city for all. They pay reverence to the Oracle, as if she is the areas ultimate protector, with a celebration each month. Hatchlings from Oracle Keep are always born with a Runic Gift and travel across the land to protect the innocent or spread knowledge using their special abilities. |
