Biography
Thelma
Thelma looked up.. she sensed a sadness on the wind, though young she had a knack for scrying and her instincts told her somebody.. somewhere.. was in serious trouble. Frowning she went to her parents and beseeched them to let her travel the wind and find the source. Her parents were nervous but they knew Thelma was resourceful and gifted, so with a deep breath they gave in to her wishes. Packing lightly, Thelma took off, her 5 day-old wings yet unshed baby's gossamer, but strong on their course. As she traveled, following the cries and delicate pleas for help she searched frantically soon ending up in the far frigid south, where suddenly she noticed a distinct change in the sounds. They were now sounds of gladness though weary felt relieved and Thelma was curious and now dedicated to finding her quarry, decided to continue her task of locating the one who sent out such a large shockwave of energy. Tiredly she flew then pure exhausted, she clumsily landed Ker-thump at the door of a small ice dragonhold. The clan-mother Juniper found her there then and with much business fussed over Thelma getting her warm broth and putting her near the small hearthstone fire. After hearing Thelma's story she smiled and showed her the tiny corsage o: a fae!!! a tiny fae baby was the bright spot of color in the tundra's mane! It was amazing that a tiny little baby so young and un-named could blast out such a huge beacon, yet after looking at her was even more surprised that she wasn't frozen to death, because obviously she had been exposed to the winter elements for a couple of days. Thelma asked if she could stay for the night, as she was due for her "shedding" the moment when a dragon-child becomes an adult. They are very weak at this time and it can be so difficult and even painful sometimes. Juniper said of course, Thelma may stay as long as she liked, and promptly started digging out another tunnel while Jamboree started planning for the eventual sky-room where Thelma would be most comfortable. Being a wind-tribe dragon Thelma would need a higher place than a simple snowbank, high enough she could scry as she liked yet large and sturdy enough to handle the future bulk of an imperial. Over the next few days Thelma soon proved to be worth her weight in gold, she tirelessly worked alongside the others, while all the time warning them to take shelter if the wild beastclans approached. She gathered stuff for the fire-tending and was dutiful in sending messages on the wind to her parents back home. She was very happy she had found her place, and even happier for the opportunity to perfect her talents. She got along well with the baby fae and was even named her guard-mom at the baby's naming ceremony. She felt the child, BreezyDayBlessin would someday have need of Thelma's skills and teaching.. obviously the tiny wind-child had hidden talents that deserved an experienced teacher. Thelma smiled, she was going to like it here.
