Biography
Elfryn
Elfryn and his sister were born to lightning parents in a water tribe, and while his sister on the day of her "shedding" decided to joins the ranks of the exalted, Elfryn was busy chasing dragonflies.. literally.. He was always a high-energy baby and now he was grown-up(or so he thought of himself) he was after his own food. He was born the spitting image of his father and because he admired his dad's hunting prowess he wanted to prove his own merit. He was flying near the water's edge when he saw a giant dragonfly zooming along, it was a fast little creature and Elfryn wanted it. He flew after it, over the river into the bay never stopping because he was dead-set on having it for his dinner. That's when a frigid gust of wind caught him unawares and belatedly realizing he had flown out too far the wind whipped him and tossed him into the ocean where he bruised one of his wings. Too sore to fly now he tried to skim the top of the water but it was getting dark and yelling did him no good either. In the black of the night, soggy tired and cold he felt something hard and colder bump up against him, but being so tired he could easily drown he wrapped himself around the floating thing and fell asleep. He awoke later to a smallish imperial named Thelma dragging his mini iceberg to shore. Half-frozen to the berg Elfryn couldnt get off of it, he was stuck and stuck good. Thelma scooped water over him until she could peel him off of it, landing him in a nearby snowbank. Juniper, (the fluffy clan-mother with a pretty flower near her ear) was busy making Elfryn some broth and fussing mightedly about needing more gauze to make Elfryn a splint for his wing. Lonely, tired and afraid Elfryn started crying.. nobody had ever given him this much attention at home unless he was in trouble, so naturally the combined failure of not catching his own dinner, the sudden loss of everything he once knew, and being cold tired and bruised left him feeling overwhelmed and useless. Juniper stopped immediately at the sound of the young dragon's sorrow, and gently cuddled him to her bosom, rocking him and quietly shushing him until he became calm. That's when he noticed the "flower" moved and with eyes wide he suddenly sat up and peered closer at Juniper's ear only to find the tiniest baby fae-baby ever staring right back at his nose. The baby squeaked and then all but disappeared into Juniper's thick ruff. The other dragons good naturedly laughed, and Elfryn felt cheered and curious about the tiny fae, and then was soon engrossed hearing her story. Elfryn smiled and thought he might just stay here awhile and help this new clan establish itself in the icy region, besides his wing needed healing and he felt he owed them his life. There was work he could do excavating the dragon-hold and Thelma was sending a message home to his parents so they wouldn't worry about him. Elfryn was growing up and felt he had finally found his place.
