HISTORY AND PERSONALITY

Paeru was born and raised in a powerful Lightning Lair, being raised mostly by her father. Because nearly all of his hatchlings had been exalted, Nimphel absolutely doted upon Paeru and her sister, Karina, providing them with love and care for the first stage of their lives. Though their father was given a high-ranking familiar, he was not one of the top dragons of the clan. Their mother, however, was. She was an expert Wielder of Lightning; one of the most powerful in their clan. She also had several offspring that took up her time, leaving her with little to none for her youngest hatchlings at the time. This neglect from her mother led Paeru to form a very tight bond with her father, the bond only being strengthened by the fact that he too was a Pearlcatcher, and could teach her all needed information on their race. And so, Paeru and Karina lived their childhood under the very watchful eye of their father, being nurtured and cared for as if they had never needed a mother. Paeru, however, was told by many in the clan that she was an exceptional beauty. These compliments of her looks continued on even when she moved to the little Arcane clan, and she never really understood them. It was true that her coat left almost nothing to be missed, but she had always seen the beauty on the inside of a dragon, not with their exterior features.

This outlook on life led Paeru to have a similarly beautiful personality, wrought with honest humility. Though when first encountered, she may seem shy and a pushover, but you will soon find that she has a will of steel. She will constantly try to divert the conversation away from her looks if it turns toward that, and her tone will harden if it does not. She admires all dragon's beauty and never compares them to herself, and makes a constant effort to be in friendly connection with all of her lair. She knows that many dragons will dislike her simply because of her beauty, but she will show them kindness nevertheless.

RELATIONSHIPS

During her time in the small Arcane clan, Paeru has formed several close relationships with her fellow clan members. The two most serious relationships would most likely be with that of Sancetus and Laetus, and she considers both to be her closest friends. Due to their constant habit of bickering, she almost always lands in the middle and has more often than not broken up a fight. As previously stated, will of steel. Although it has become almost painfully obvious, Paeru remains oblivious to the Imperial males' advances. She simply thinks them silly arguments, but deep down she has an inkling that they may or may be real. However, it will be a while before she ever realizes that, and when that time comes, who will she choose?

Another close relationship she has formed is with her familiar, Jefferson. He may be slightly gruff and rough around the edges when first approached, but deep down he really is a fluffy (static-y) teddy bear. He has provided her comfort when she had no one to turn to, and never failed to listen to her daily woes. He also somewhat reminds her of her past life in her birth lair, and in Paeru's opinion, the past repeats itself, so what better way to make a brighter future than to take a look in the past once in a while?
