B I O G R A P H Y

______ Sancetus was born under Zefferin and Aliothel, henceforth being known as a prince. Being the eldest of his brood, Sancetus was taught patience and learned how to keep a cool-head, which is also due in part to his immensely powerful ice magic. Despite being only a hatchling, he could control ice, snow, and the other elements of winter as if it were second nature to him. His power soon grew to unimaginable lengths, and over time he started to be treated as somewhat of an outcast. None of the hatchlings of his own age would be allowed, or would even want to spend time with him, as their parents were afraid he would unleash his powers upon them, if accidental. It is from these early times of neglect that Sancetus slowly built the ice around his heart, and that is from where his cool demeanor stemmed. Having taken enough neglect from those around him, the young prince decided to leave and find his own path, unbeknownst to his mother, who was heartbroken at his departure. After a short time of wandering, he came upon a small and humble lair in the farthest outlooks of the Crystalpine Reaches, and took a chance...

______ Despite his cold and somewhat aloof personality, deep down Sancetus is actually quite kind and gentle, quite opposite from the boisterous and loud demeanor of his fellow hatchling and rival, Laetus. If he had not run away from his original clan of birth, Sancetus may have very well been a prince, possibly even a king. If that had indeed happened, he could have been one of the most powerful Ice Imperials to walk the land.
Sancetus has made several deep friendships and relationships in this small lair, but the most prominent attraction would most likely be with that of the Pearlcatcher female, Paeru. From the instant he met her, Sancetus was instantly attracted to the beautiful pearl, and wishes to be her bonded mate in the future (different than mating for offspring, a bonded mate is much deeper, and the dragons usually stay with that mate for the rest of their lives. However, as in the case of most bonded mates, the partners have usually mated with several other dragons before staying with their bonded mate). It is from his attraction that he came to rival Laetus, as he too has his sights set on a bonded mate future with Paeru. It also may have something to do with the centuries-old instinct of male rivalry, and it does not help that they are of the same species. Though he is well-known for having a patient, cool head, he has often lost said aloofness when it comes to Laetus. Though never losing his control on his power, his anger level often raises beyond that of what it normally is. Sancetus keeps a relatively friendly relationship with the other dragons of his lair, though he often finds himself speaking quietly with Feuillu; both are quiet and soft-spoken, but Sancetus always had an air of power about him that Feuillu could never understand.
