Fable. The resident that the Organization could not fix. The Organization's biggest mess up and Brilliant's dirty secret.

Fable was hatched mid-day on the grounds of CCO. Beautifully striped and gifted. Her memory surpassed what was ideal for her age range. Brilliant, also young and gifted, fell in love with her. This fact however, was never spoken. The two grew up alongside each other. Brilliant dreamed of power while Fable dreamed of family. The first got her wish, and eventually succeeded to The Head of CCO. The latter struggled. Every egg Fable laid had too thin a shell, and crumbled within days of nesting.

Time only worsened the wound. Fable resorted to more drastic measures of coping. Fable transformed into a single-pane version of herself, and became quickly obsessed with all-things childcare. On the hottest and stickiest night of the year, after the unexpected early summer storms tore the hatchery to bits, Fable managed to snag one of the unborn. After seeing the distraught search party, Fable privately confessed to Brilliant that she was responsible. Brilliant, not wanting to shame her childhood friend and secret lover, fashioned a lie. The egg was found the next day in a tall tree on the Southern tip of camp. "High winds" was said to be the cause of the misplacement. Surprisingly, the Org did not dispute it, and mother and egg were reunited. Brilliant, not wanting Fable's impulsiveness to harm the Org., cast her out. Another lie was spun, one where Fable was recruited for a long term out-of-camp mining operation.
