______ I am a love child born of MadmDragonfly's 100 Hatchling Challenge. While I have left my home as per the rules of the game, should you ever consider exalting me, please give me the chance to return to my home lair first.

______ The first thing I remember upon hatching is the smell of freshly baked cookies that my mother had lovingly prepared while anxiously awaiting my arrival. That scent is one I will always hold dear and has fueled my passion of becoming a world-renowned baker, spreading love through home-made, baked goodies.

______ I love experimenting in the kitchen and making up my own confections. However, I do plan on continuing my mother's tradition of passing down our own secret family recipes to my future offspring.


Mama's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
______ 3/4 cup granulated sugar
______ 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
______ 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
______ 1 teaspoon vanilla
______ 1 egg
______ 1 teaspoon vanilla
______ 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
______ 1 teaspoon baking soda
______ 1 teaspoon vanilla
______ 1/2 teaspoon salt
______ 1 teaspoon vanilla
______ 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
______ 1. Heat oven to 375ºF.
______ 2. Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.
______ 3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
______ 1. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
