Main Theme: You'll be my little friend..

______ Born to savage and uncommunicative parents who were natural warriors, only having a slightly lesser passion for each other than for battle, Bulette was neglected even in the egg. It’s a wonder she was able to survive to her hatch-day, and if it weren’t for her mother’s Familiar, Sykka the Red-winged Owlcat, who would sneak into the nursery and curl his furry body around her egg at night, she probably would not have ever seen the light of day.

______ Once hatched, Bulette longed for attention and was considered a pest by most of her home lair. Only one dragon, Tyarion, took some kind of pity on her and knowing the beauty she would become, doted on Bulette, giving her gifts of rare perfumes and pearls he found on his journeys. Bulette worshipped him and had childish fantasies of growing up to tear him away from his mate, Lokah.

______ Having no friends other than Tyarion to talk to, she shared her dreams of a future with him only in her diary. Unfortunately, one very unlucky morning found her mother towering over her at dawn holding Bulette’s leather bound journal. “I have informed the Queen of your insolence and insubordination. You are a disgrace.”, she said. “Follow me. You are now banished from this clan forever.”

______ Fearing for her life, Bulette did as she was told and was led to the outskirts of the Sundercloud Clan’s realm. For weeks she wandered aimlessly until she happened upon the Dragonfly Clan. Cold, hungry, and heartbroken, Bulette sought out the clan's matriarch Faith and asked if she could remain with them, if only for a while. Having a heart much different than the Queen of Bulette’s former clan, Faith took one look at her and wrapped the small ridgeback in an embrace assuring her that she was welcome there as long as she wanted to stay.

B I O G R A P H Y

______ Bulette blossomed under the tender care of her new Queen, but she struggled to overcome her belief that she was unlovable and had an almost frantic need for constant attention. The members of the Dragonfly Clan understood this, however it didn’t mean they were never irritated by the young newcomer’s overwhelming clinginess.

______ Bulette soon grew into a gorgeous dragon and many males in the clan briefly took an interest in her. Sadly, her lack of self-esteem, jealousy, and tendency to make her suitors feel quite smothered kept any of them from lasting very long. Not understanding how her actions were affecting others, she took all the rejection as proof that her parents were right about her.

______ Bulette decided to establish the Dragonfly Lair’s very first drinking establishment, The Watering Hole, as her way of giving back to the clan that took her in after her banishment. It was there that she met a striking, older dragon; a wanderer, whom she fell deeply in love with. He didn’t seem to mind her clinginess - in fact, he encouraged it. And she, innocently, believed that he loved her.

______ Within a short time, Bulette was on a nest and Pallas had gone. Upon hearing of his departure from a patron of her bar, Bulette decided that she would never love anyone again. No one, that is, except her children.

______ She became a hardened business-dragon after that, adding a second floor to her business and using it for secret dealings with the males who passed through on their travels as well as those who lived amongst the clan. Bulette became a very wealthy dragon and a doting, loving mother to her many, many children. She no longer holds out any hope for a lasting, loving, romantic relationship, but finds comfort and yes, even happiness, in the hatchlings she raises.
