Born alone in the Shrieking wilds, Nightshade learned quickly how to defend himself from dangerous monsters. One thing he also learned early on was that many forest plants could be used as an asset to help him fend off the beasts. He met other dragons as he wandered around the wilds and some shared with him their knowledge of poisons. As soon as he heard the words "Deadly Nightshade" he knew that was going to be his name. He wanted to be a dragon that nobody wanted to mess with, lest he poison the water supply of their entire clan.

He made a living selling poisons to other dragons, not really caring what they were used for as long as he got what he wanted from them. He also built up a strong immunity to most sort of poisons so that nobody could try to use his own products against him. It was tough, but he was ultimately, it was worth it in the end.

Nightshade is a very cold and calculated dragon, caring about himself in all contexts. If nothing's in it for him, he won't do anything for you.
