Benson

Benson, or "Benny" as she likes to be called is somewhat of an enigma. Nobody really knows where she came from, just that one day she decided to settle down in the Nature flight's territory. It is inferred that she came from the ice flight though, as she is remarkably resistant to cold temperatures.

She had been found by Maleficent, the clan's sinister looking black spiral dragon, after her looong journey from one side of the map to the other. After some quarreling, Maleficent insisted that she stay with them. Benny huffed and gave up, though in reality, she was excited to meet Maleficent's clanmates. She gets along really well with other Monochrome dragons such as Nero, Stratus, and Styx. Dragon keep remarking on how rare it is for a dragon to get Maleficent to be open to another dragon, as she had thorns both on her body and in her heart. Eventually, Maleficent left the clan, but Benson stayed behind.

The reason she prefers the Nature fight to the Ice flight is for one reason. Plants grow in the nature flight. Benny is known as a sort of "Witchdoctor" to the other dragons in the clan she chose to settle with. She doesn't mind this. She uses a large stock of herbs to help dragons of all types, even not belonging to her clan, out with injuries and such.

She might seem to have a cold heart, but she really cares very much for many dragons. When she met Tamiyo for instance, she couldn't help but feel sorry for the fellow ice flight dragon that had suffered such an unfortunate fate. She acts as Tamiyo's caretaker when Batai and Cordenth are not around, none of them mind at all, and sometimes the two Coatls are glad for the break.
