To me, the rainbow has been and always will be a symbol of promise, hope, newness, inspiration, and wonder - the perfect pairing with unicorns. I believe in unicorns and rainbows and dreams come true.

Since I could remember, The Last Unicorn was my favorite animated film and it's also one of my favorite books. It is the poignant tale of the Last Unicorn in the world going on a dangerous journey to find out where all the other unicorns had gone.

This centerpiece of my fandragon project based on the film is fairly simple, but she doesn't need much to blend elements from the Lady Amalthea and her true unicorn form. She had to have purple eyes, and of course be an all white Pearlcatcher. Maybe the reason they're my favorite breed is how much they look like unicorns. The pink inside the ears seems to have been a happy accident...I had forgotten they should be. The Sky Blue Silks are a reference to her dress as Amalthea. She was beautiful and pale and simple, and I don't want to add too much.
