 WINDWAYS METALLURGIST & ARTISAN While her other two siblings became storytellers, Ash has taken after her mother, Khonor. From a young age she was fascinated by the metallurgist's forge and would spend hours watching the patterns of the fire, following the sparks with her eyes, and staining her scales with smoke and cinders. It has become her love and her talent --- to craft art out of any material she happens upon, and to tend the fire she nurses as if it were a living, breathing being. Her own personal forge is filled with her baffling yet beautiful creations, and often times she will even construct props for her siblings' acts. Ash herself is eerily calm, sophisticated, and unflinching to criticism or praise. She does not crave attention or validation from her peers, nor does she seem to have a purpose in pursuing her metal work --- yet that does not seem to bug her. All she desires is to tend her fires and bring forth creations from her imagination without interruption or scorn, and that is what she intends to do. |

MINOR BACKSTORY DETAILS - Born and raised in the Windways Clan. PERSONALITY - Very difficult to agitate; always calm. - Good sense of humor. - Incredibly creative and philosophical. - Naturally curious about the world around her. - Sensible and receptive to feedback. - A bit detached from things; not overly emotional. PHYSICAL - Rarely seen without her welder's mask on. - Always covered in ash and grime. - Very thick and muscular. RELATIONS - Jayce and Khonor are their parents. - She's particularly close with her mother and works under her to better understand metallurgy. - Was taught to fly by her father and maintains a steady relationship with him. Even if he's a bit clueless at times, she's never doubted the love he holds for her and her siblings. - The official youngest of her siblings, but often takes the role of the oldest. - She was always the one to watch over Arzos and Azuolas, and make sure they weren't getting into too much trouble. - Holds a great deal of contempt for her uncle, Scion. They've often tried to keep their other siblings away from him. - Generally annoyed by Danté, but puts up with her since she's Azuolas' mentor. OTHER - Really hates bathing; typically puts it off until they're so coated in ash that they can't move without clouds puffing up. - Their den is full of their artwork. There's so many sculptures and dangling bits of junk that there's barely room for her to sleep! - Typically works in the main forge, but does have a small hearth in the corner of her den which is always kept ablaze. - Despite being a Wind Flight, they have an eerie relationship with fire. Sometimes they just sit and watch the flames for hours, as if she sees something within their depths. |
