"The only thing standing between my dreams and I, is my own reluctance. That is why I cannot hesitate, I must have dedication. I have to dream."

The first son of Socrates and Xena, and the older brother of Ren. As a hatchling, Cato was introverted and a little reserved, which often made him the target of Ren's playful teasing. Taking more after his father, Cato spent most of his hatchlinghood days dreaming and reveling at the world around him. Though he was attentive enough when it came to actual teachings from his parents, Cato would often later find himself by his father's side, reading the scrolls and parchments that his father went over with fascination.

As he grew older, Cato found himself spending even less time socializing with his brother and friends, and more time in his father's study room. Observing turned into questioning, and questioning turned into participation; aiding his father in his studies. By the time Cato became an adolescent, he was already a dedicated apprentice to Socrates, who developed a strong pride in his son's curiosity. In time, as he approached adulthood, Cato became a philosopher, dedicated to questioning and unraveling the mysteries of nature, knowledge, reality, and existence.

For the most part, Cato spends his days now with his father and mother; a bright and inquisitive philosopher, who has made it his goal in life to bring fame to the Hollow with its discoveries and theories. Although the two had a rocky relationship as hatchlings, Cato also still remains close with his younger brother, Ren. Although the latter still likes to mess around with Cato, the two care deeply for one another, and occasionally make time for an outing with Socrates and Xena. All in all, Cato has made a happy life for himself, and looks forward to spending the rest of his days surrounded by family, friends, and the ever-expanding glory of the Radiant Hollow.
