"Ah! Yes, I can answer that question. Um... Oh, blast! Where did I put that scroll?"
The co-founder of the Radiant Hollow, along with his mate, Xena, and the father of Cato and Ren. Originally born under the name of "Klaus", this Tundra dragon was born in the Sundial Terrace, where he lived for all of his hatchlinghood and adolescence. Originally nothing more an ordinary, passive Tundra dragon, Klaus lived alone in a burrow that he had dug himself for quite some time, until one day, he came upon a fellow Tundra dragon while foraging for food. After striking up a conversation with the female dragon, Klaus learned that the stranger, who called herself Xena, had no place to call home. Although she had fared well for a large portion of her adult life, Xena explained that fortune had not been in her favor, and that she had lost the place she lived to a terrible storm roughly half a season prior.Taking pity on his newfound friend, Klaus opened up his den to Xena, saying that she may stay with him so long as she would help him with tasks such as foraging. Grateful and taken aback by this act of generosity, Xena took Klaus up on his offer, and in an effort to repay him, Xena gave Klaus a gift that changed his view of the world forever. The ability to read. Having been illiterate his entire life, and not really caring about it until then, Klaus soon became enthralled with the symbols that Xena showed him, and the meanings that could be attached to them. Becoming literate changed Klaus's perspective drastically, and he soon found himself wondering and questioning things about the world that he had never even thought to question prior. To reflect this new sense of self, Klaus changed his name to "Socrates", became a devout follower of the Lightweaver, and founded the Radiant Hollow, a school of sorts, dedicated to housing and teaching any dragon who desired knowledge. He now serves as it's scholarch, and spends most of his days either eagerly teaching any dragon that seeks his council, or absorbing himself in his philosophical studies. He has managed to make some friends in his scholarly pursuits, befriending a Coatl librarian by the name of Setina. The two visit each other occasionally, often sharing and exchanging scrolls and parchments.
