The original sole occupant of what would later become the Hearth Haven Lair, Ligament was essential in helping the clan adjust to life in the unpredictable Molten Scar. His knowledge of both the landscape and the craft of blacksmithery was indispensable to the newborn fire clan.

What is now the most habituated area of the Hearth Haven territory consists of a series of underground tunnels and caverns, carved out by ancient lava rivulets of a long-dormant volcano. Ligament stumbled upon it after leaving his family in a fit of emotion and becoming irrecoverably lost. For many years Ligament lived there alone, taking refuge from the Blacksand Annex's pervasive mist that discouraged him from going home. In the deepest of caverns, where the magma persisted, Ligament honed the smithing skills he learned briefly as as an apprentice in his youth, and began to relish in his lifestyle as a hermit.

No longer afraid of the mist, he had ventured out for supplies one day when a figure in the haze revealed itself to be one of Bishop's scouts, lost and in need of a home - the rest is history.

Taura is the lifeblood of industry in Hearth Haven. Young but intelligent beyond her years, her talents in the forge are exactly what the Plague-turned-Fire clan needed to cement their place in the Blacksand Annex. For years, they lacked an experienced forgekeep that could truly make use of Flamecaller's volcanic gifts, with only the amateur smith Frizzle and now-retired Ligament to oversee forge operations. They did their best, but lacked the sheer molten talent that Taura has.

Taura directs the Haven's entire forge staff, trains new recruits, and still had time to create new pieces of her own - she never seems to run out of steam.

Frizzle works in Hearth Haven's forge. She is energetic and hard-working, though she sometimes gets too invested in her own personal projects as opposed to her assigned workload. She's passionate about making artsy metal sculpture and pottery trinkets to decorate her lair with.
