Normally a status only appointed to exalted dragons, Flamecaller's Paladins are divine soldiers sent to carry out Flamecaller's will and strike down her enemies clanside. They typically enjoy a more cushy lifestyle in the clergy, but are often called on when conflict arises for the clan.

Paladins are born under a sign of the Flamecaller, as interpreted by the High Priestess Witness. For Syd, she hatched from her egg at the same time as a phoenix egg found by The Scavenging Party also hatched. Syd and the pheonix have shared a connection ever since, the continuously-reborn bird now Syd's lifelong companion and (when appropriately aged) an ally in battle.

Syd is a benevolent and devout follower who takes her duties extremely seriously. As such she is the de facto leader of her troupe, despite being the youngest.

Aubergine was the first of the three Paladins born to Hearth Haven. He, like the rest of Flamecaller's Paladins, was granted divine powers of otherworldly strength and resilience by his deity. Aubergine is level-headed, but follows orders to a fault.

Kite is by far the most aggressive and egotistical of the Paladins. If anyone in Hearth Haven were to attempt a coup, it would be Kite, and everyone knows it. She acts like she's too big for this small, increasingly crafts-oriented settlement, but sticks around anyway - surely, those who keep a watchful eye on her think, she has ulterior motives.

Kite can often be seen attempting to rile up figures of calm authority such as Mercy, Witness, and Sunder, though she doesnt seem interesting in challenging Syd.
