Hook's Notes:
Van is a calm, quiet dude who always and surprisingly has a dad joke up his sleeve. He's the sort of dragon you can't help but like, and who it always seems wise to listen to. He's been friends with Sochi and Mylo since they were hatchlings - they welcomed in the neighbor with the strange red eyes that none of the other kids wanted to play with ("ew he's from plague look out he probably has diseases!") without question and when he got just as excited as they did when the new Uppdraget album was released, there was no doubt about it: they were going to be friends forever.

Mylo is not only Sochi's sibling but also her hatchmate and is fiercely protective of her. Though he's learned to step back and let her handle her own fights now that they're all adults, he didn't know how to hold himself back when he was younger, nor was he capable of seeing why he should. Mylo's temper is hot and fast and as a hatchling he tended to get Sochi deeper into trouble, rather than out of it, especially since even if she didn't suffer any consequences, seeing her brother having to serve them (even if he felt virtues while doing so) was suffering enough for her tender heart. So she learned to go to Van with her bully troubles and friendship grievances and teacher struggles instead. Van would listen and make understand sounds and pat her on the back, and then somehow would always manage to have a few coins lying about for an ice cream. When they got older (and all started wearing eyeliner and leather jackets and gelling their head feathers into mohawks) other dragons started to ask Sochi, "Is Van your boyfriend?" which caught her off guard and surprised her, because she'd never thought of it that way, so she just straight up asked him after school one day: "Van, are you my boyfriend?" to which he gave a casual shrug as if this was not an entirely new and hormonally charged concept and replied, "Sure, of course I am." And they've been a couple ever since.

I asked them once if they ever got married and they looked at me like I was from another planet and finally Sochi said, "Why in all of Sorienth would we need to do that?" So I guess they're bound by flower power or something? But whatever it is, it seems to be a power that lasts.

[editor's note: none of those children you see there from before I owned him are cannon. Nor are his... grandchildren... and great grandchildren... I forgot to check if he had them sooo yeahhhh. Just ignore that bit.]
