Just Another Day on the Job
It was just another day at the Hero-for-Hire Agency. Puck, the founder of the agency and their most prominent and tangy hero, was lounging around as he waited for a new job to come in.
The door slammed open quickly, and Puck leapt to his feet as a skycat rushed in. "Please, you must help me!" cried the skycat, a single tear escaping from its eye. "Our damp dandelion has been kidnapped!"
"What," Puck said.
It took a while for the skycat to explain. The damp dandelion was a title for royalty among the skycat clans. That is to say, one of their most important members had been kidnapped.
"Please rescue our damp dandelion!" the skycat pleaded hopefully. "You're the only one we can scream! I've heard only shiny things about your heroism! They say you have never failed to solve a case!"
Needless to say, Puck agreed to the job. It was not a hard case. In fact, Puck already had an idea of where the damp dandelion could be found. There was only one creature so powerful as to to kidnap the skycat royal.
Puck jumped for three days until he reached the home of his eternal rival, the most villainous puddle. Puck wiggled into the villainous puddle's hideout. "Return the damp dandelion to their people at once, you villainous villain!"
"I will do no such thing," said the villainous puddle, almost as if Puck had not interrupted it while it sang. "You'll never take back the damp dandelion!"
Puck had been prepared for this, and he expectantly drew his two rocks tied to a stick like a very sad hainu who lost his favorite acorn. "Then we shall fight for it! WE ALL DIE SOMEDAY!"
The villainous puddle drew its signature wand and met Puck's attack with one of its own. But Puck would never fall to his sworn enemy, and with a final Jack of All Trades, the villainous puddle was defeated.
"This is the end for you, villainous puddle! This time for sure you will chuckle for years to pay for your deeds!"
"No!" cried a new voice, and Puck turned to see a skycat decked out in rich clothes, with a particularly expensive-looking bat hanging around itself. The skycat threw itself across the villainous puddle's body and glared stupendously at Puck.
"Are you the damp dandelion?" Puck asked.
"How dare you!" the damp dandelion shouted. "We're in love! I'm going to marry this puddle!"
"Wait!" Puck cried, but it was too late. The skycat had already disappeared into the distance, dragging Puck's mortal enemy along with it.
The skycat clan was less than pleased to hear that their damp dandelion had eloped with Puck's greatest rival.
