Ember
"Trust is a thing you earn, and definitely not a thing YOU deserve."
Betrayal, that's how she'd describe Ictrem. After joining the clan to find calmness in the inferno of her mind. He made the small flame burst out into a massive, uncontrollable flare. At least, that's how Ember described it to Blizzard.
She is... chaotic at the best. Not really aggressive, but can react really strange to whatever you say, when she's not completely at ease. You can never predict how's she's going to react. Well, except Blizzard. Who somehow understands her. And always calms her down when she's having an outburst. Ember loves sticking around people to make them feel better if they are down. Being a fire dragon, her heartwarming nature helps with this. It's the one situation when she is always calm. Probably because someone's at ease near her. Blizzard always seems to carry this mood.
She used to live back at the border of the scorched forest and the rest of the fire territories. She lived a rather normal life. Things seemed right, there was harmony in the forest. Then a storm rose, crackling, dry air from the shifting expanse began moving towards the forest. And that one lightning bolt, striking from the sky, set off a huge forest fire.
As the uncontrollable fire in the forest grew bigger, the chaos inside of Ember began to rise. No real memories, only a jumble of mixed emotions and a huge bonfire. Some flashbacks occur occasionally, but they last only seconds. A glimpse entangled brambles is the clearest she has. Dragging her down.
The first thing she knows clearly after that, is that she woke up in a forest. Pillars stretched across the sky. Things looked so calm, nothing was happening. But at the same time, fire was raging inside Ember. Expressing itself in the flames that seemed to come from the new flowers sticking to Ember's fur. They had a comforting feel. She couldn't take it, all this calmness while she was in chaos. She had to look for something she could express her feelings even more onto.
Then Ictrem came along. He seemed interested, nice, and looked really worried about Ember. She told him what was happening. And he told that the Lightweaver had found a way to make everything colder, to stop the flames. And that he would tell her.
That mentality got changed quickly, Ember found herself at peace in Clan CatFeather. But Ictrem found her doing what he pleased. He started to use her to do unthinkable things. When the order came along to heavily injure Erinia. Ember came to realize that he was controlling her. His calming words made her trust him. The inferno came back. Even more uncontrollable than before. She lashed out at him when they were alone. Fire began crackling around Ictrem. He stated that the Lightweaver had corrupted their species, and that he had to avenge them. That the lightweaver had broken them, and if it had to be done. That he would turn into an emperor to strike her down.
"Kill her with her own mistake."
He exlaimed the fact that Ember didn't trust him anymore. In which she shouted the words she became known for.
Then she met Blizzard.
First wary of him, then earning her trust instead of Ictrem. He changed her. The burning fire got reduced to just a few flaming embers. She ended up trusting more people, and eventually turned out to be really passionate and heartwarming. Some dragons, although still a bit freaked out by her when she's not at her best. Do enjoy having her around. Blizzard looks after her, cares about her. And maybe is the only dragon who truly knows who Ictrem is, with the exception of Ember. As she never told anyone what he actually is planning.
