"Quote"
______________________________________________________________________________________
Polo comes to him, torn and bleeding. He doesn't know what to do, being reminded of a stag his sister once brought home, still twitching and trying to escape. While she played with the poor creature, he couldn't bring himself to put it out of its misery. This time was no different. The two dragons were alike; both sons of leaders with no chance to succeed. The Tundra had accepted him when others would turn them away.
"A Mirror without a pack is a bad omen,".
He didn't let the tundra suffer the same fate. His wounds are nasty, but they are fixable. Sadie was the only one who would dare approach, let alone try to do anything. Thus, he took turns with Corbin over who would watch over their friend. He shivered through out the night, each twitch scaring Pyrite into a submission; was it fate for him to die?
He wonders if Velros even cared that it was his other son; begat from Morgana, that caused him so much pain. If it were him lying there, would his mother worry? Would his father have cared? He wasn't strong like his sisters. All he had was cunning. And that's why he had to leave. Nothing more than Fool's Gold, something that held little to no worth in this world. But to this Tundra, he was one of two everythings. And that was why he'd defend him with his life. Next time Altair came near him, Pyrite would be the first to tear into the Guardian's flesh; doing what he couldn't do...Not to the Stag, not to Polo.

Quote:
He isn’t as bold or as strong as his siblings.
His parents are the leaders of a clan, both sure in their rule and confident that they can keep everything running smoothly. So he grows up among dragons from all walks of life, learning what he can when he can. He is the eldest, the only mirror born among guardian sisters. The three of them are more interested in brawling; they inherit their mother’s fierce fighting spirit and temper.
He on the other hand, has his father’s tact. The need to try and protect those he loves. The desire to help.
As a guardian, well. It’s easy. Dragons tend to trust you when you’re part of a species born with protective instincts. But as a mirror? It’s a lot harder, considering that you’re supposed to be a pack dragon, nothing but snarling and sharp claws and teeth.
Pyrite, they call him. Fool’s gold. He can’t be what he’s not.
He will try, all the same.
