Biography

Aglaea
Glassblower
Seeker Orb
Mirror
Seeker Brooch

In her youth, Aglaea was discovered to have a natural talent for glassblowing. She was often found spending many hours in the forge creating masterfully intricate pieces. The clan elders talked of her skill with pride, satisfied that one so young had found her calling so early. But Aglaea was far from content. She did not want to stay in her home lair forever but instead go out and experience all that Sorneith had to offer. Ever patient, Aglaea waited for an opportunity to present itself.

That opportunity came one day in the form of a loud and brash traveling peddler. Not impressed with this bravado, Aglaea retreated to the sanctuary of her forge. Engrossed in her craft, she failed to notice the peddler had quietly entered. He became entranced, and struck up a conversation. She learned that the true character of this peddler-or rather Hephaestus- was hidden away behind a false persona and rather liked what she found. During this conversation Aglaea mentioned her desire to wander and Hephaestus quickly offered to take her on as a partner. With their skills combined, they traveled far and wide, attaining a reputation as some of the best glassblowers of Sorneith.

After years of adventures, the two dragons realized they wished for some permanency in their lives. They decided to settle down in the Clan of Fire and Smoke, where they were welcomed by the craftsmen of the Ashfall Waste with open arms.

Today, their area of the lair is covered with bits and odds and ends from their travels. Once a year they host a glassblowing contest in which clans from all over the Ashfall Waste take part. Aglaea, unlike her more easygoing mate, is a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to her craft, often taking many days to finish even the smallest of pieces; however, she has a soft spot for hatchlings and always carries some tiny baubles to delight and distract them.
