the artist, the stargazer, the optimist



He hails from the Southern Icefield, but he says he's from the Starfall Isles. He had a mate that he hummed to and called his joy, and in winter he sang his magic and shaped ice in her likeness. Toltecatl is an optimist, believing that a deity is always watching over their children. He often looks at the stars and remembers his first mate.

But he also remembers the fight, the loud, harsh notes shot between them, the bitterness that neither could overcome. "Life is like that," he says simply.

Toltecatl has difficulty speaking draconic, though he can, heavily accented, in a pinch. He prefers to show instead of tell, to hum his magic and conjure little pictures of ice to convey what he wants to say.

He's good at the arts - singing, painting, decorating. He has an eye for it, though he has a preference for purple and a fondness for cool colors. Toltecatl often hums while he works and more often than not ends up adding a bit of frost here or some ice crystals there.

He is not a fighter, though when frightened he sometimes makes ice and slips on it. Toltecatl likes winter because the stars are crisp and clear in the sky, and he looks up and thinks with a clarity he is otherwise hard pressed to find.
