Cecil

Cecil is the Empress's favorite concubine. He came to the Oasis as a fresh bloodline, having no choice in the matter; he was taken from his parents as a hatchling, purchased by the previous emperor as a slave.

His childhood was quiet chores across the palace... Though often playing in secret with the crowned heir, Lyra, spending as much time as he could with the girl; her colors reminding him of the bright flowers from his homeland.

Over the years he found himself smitten with the future empress, but, the ranking between them ever increased. The slave had requested Lyra to let him be her hand maiden regardless that he was male; she had agreed to ask her father. Once the emperor passed into the afterlife, the love of his life took the throne. Cecil had been worried he may be replaced, but his fears were set aside when his master told him she would officially make him her concubine. He happily agreed.

The once slave was now lavished in silk and jewels. Cecil couldn't have been more blessed by the gods when he had received the news. His master, his love, his mate, was pregnant with his offspring.

Lyra had given birth to three children. She'd given him the honor of naming one of his sons, Kestrel; the next heir to the throne.

Cecil is the definition of well mannered; he is polite, never looking his betters in the eyes- save his Empress, when they are alone. His playful charm holding when around his children and mate. He was beyond blessed; the male will never let the world put him down- for if he died tomorrow he would have everything he could have ever dreamed of and more. He was truly happy.
