Biography

Kaiser has always been the one left out - a fourth wheel among his siblings, if you could call it that. He’s the firstborn of his parents, but that’s pretty much the only special thing about him. Even freshly hatched he was separate from his siblings.

Everyone always comments on his siblings.
“Oh, did you see how pretty Verity is?”
“Aren’t you proud Cinan got the best grades?”
“Thanatos actually got a girl!”

Kaiser gets sick of it sometimes.
Actually, he gets sick of it all the time.

Once Thanatos even brought a girl to the clan - a pretty skydancer named Azura.
How ironic is it that Kaiser once had a crush on her?
Sometimes Thanatos would tease Kaiser for it.
He was never really amused.

He thought that maybe in the distant future it would let Kaiser be the special one. Sometime in the very, very distant future.

At least that was what Kaiser had thought. But all too soon everything changed.
Verity left first, claiming she was sick of all her brothers.
Then Cinan departed too, not even four days after Verity had, also claiming he was sick of his siblings.
It wasn't entirely unexpected when their parents left as well in the dead of night. Nobody had seen them leave.

That had left Kaiser with his youngest brother Thanatos. They tried to get along, or, at least, Kaiser tried, but eventually Thanatos left too, answering the call he could feel from the Stormcatcher after he broke off his relationship with Azura.

And Kaiser was left alone - truly alone - with no family left near him anymore.
Fate really does have a cruel sense of humor.
