Auriel is a dragon who rather keeps to herself. She prefers her solitude to beeing around others. This is not because she is shy but more because she actually has an aversion against other dragons around her.
What she does love is gold and anything that glitters, glimmers and gleams like gold. She does have a hoard of all golden things she could gather and keeps a jealous watch over every single piece. She has a great memory and knows every piece of gold she ever had in her possesion, including the little part she actually gave away at times. Other dragons know that it's a good idea to keep away from Auriel's gold and no one really knows where her secret stash is located at. They do know that she spends days on end there though, supposedly talking to the little treasuries she has collected.
She has a paranoid part and is sure other dragons are always trying to steal her possessions, and she does openly accuse other of doing so, even if she just misplaced an item.
Where exactly she got her stash form is unknown, though everyone agrees that she does never steal, or 'borrow', from anyone in the clan. It is assumed that she actually goes out to collect golden items from wherever she can find them, possibly also taking from other clans and beastclans possessions to further her own collection.
The only one she ever let into her main hoard without attacking him is Valle, the goldsmith of her clan. The Nocturne is her mate and the only dragon she can stand beeing around longer then a few minutes. She even allows him to take from her hoard to supply his work. In return he does gift her withpar ts of his work of course, so they both take profit from it.
