          She was lucky to find her charge at a young age, but the problem it presented took her years to solve. Fire was her charge, in its entirety. How to protect all fire in the land? Fiamma eventaully came to reason that she could ensure that the world was never without fire by internalizing flame and ensuring that it lived within her. She could pull fire from it to light a candle or a hearth, 'though not too much at once. She'd made that mistake only once, and had to borrow a light to reignite her charge. The vents in her sides enable the fire to consume oxygen because the meager amount taken in through breathing would not suffice. Fiamma is always warm and hasn't known cold since she was a hatchling.
          Oriel was first drawn to her by the heat she puts out. Then, she found her sharp tongue and wicked sense of humor. When Fiamma offered to help with her heating system, Oriel knew that they would never be far from one another. They'd developed an interesting game of requesting conjured ice from Kita to drop on one another when they least expected it. Fiamma secretly found it a delight to know the sensation of cold for a moment before the ice melted off her, but to keep the game going she feigned appropriate outrage.
          Fiamma knows nothing about her origins. She assumes that she left home at an early age to seek out the Ashfall Waste, but can't recall much from before her search for a way to protect her charge. The mystery of her parents and previous clan would haunt her from time to time, but she's generally happy in her new home.
